OCNNI Level 2 Diploma in
Health and Social Care

The objectives of the OCN NI Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Northern Ireland) are to provide learners with a wide range of options to enable entry to/or develop their existing career in a range of health and social care related functions and job roles.

Learners must successfully complete 46 credits with 30 credits from the four mandatory units, and the remaining 16 credits from any of the optional units – this will be discussed with your Assessor during the initial stages of the course to ensure optional units align to your job role.

  • Communication and Information Sharing 
  • Health and Well-being 
  • Principles and Values 
  • Continuing Professional Development in the Context of Health and Social Care

The qualification is designed for those who currently work or plan to work in a wide range of settings and roles in the Health and Social care sector.  The course itself is designed in a way that allows learners to obtain and then demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to work effectively within adult care.

If you are aged 16 to 25 and working a minimum of 21 hours per week, you could access this course for free through the ApprenticeshipsNI programme.
